The Exhibition Volunteer Program is open to the public as well as Mackay Art Society Members.

Volunteer work on Mackay’s prestigious art competition and exhibition, the “Woollam Art on Show Awards and Exhibition 2025” involves the following :

• Working as a committee member
• Networking, assisting and managing sponsors
• Working and assisting with marketing, graphic design, webpage development,
• Assisting with the preparation of the exhibition Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August- unwrapping posted artworks, cataloguing artworks, setting up dividing walls, hanging and labelling artworks.
• Opening night assistance – Friday 1st August, manning of the exhibition, welcome people, sale of tickets and artwork and assisting the public with the events of the evening.
• Artists in residence Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th of August – demonstrating the creation of artworks to the public.
• Manning the exhibition Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th of August.
• And dismantling the exhibition, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 5th of August

Volunteering is an ideal way to meet like-minded individuals, working with other community groups, gaining new skills, share the enjoy the arts, and give back to the community. Note we offer references for individual resumes on request.

Each volunteer receives a complimentary invitation to the official exhibition opening night, Friday 1st August 2025, commencing 6.00pm.
